What kind of jobs could I get in the United Nations, if I have a BS in finance and a degree in journalism?

The stock market is dependent on a whole lot of factors. People say it is good to invest when shares are low and watch it rise. However, you can also lose A LOT of money. What should people look out for?

Additional Question: Is it a good idea to get loans from a bank, invest it in the stock market and pay them back when you have made money with their money. This way you make money without having any money at all.

There are two jobs that I am interested in at a local company. It wouldn’t matter which job I received, more than anything I would love to work at the company. However, one job is Finance based and the other job is Marketing/Sales based..Can I apply to both without losing the opportunity of both positions?

I’m a double major – so both jobs are relavent, but I don’t want to portray a lack of commitment or enthusiasm about either job.

This morning started playing a stock market game as practice to get used to the stock market and how it works. However, I don’t get why HUGE multi billion dollar companies like COCA-COLA or MICROSOFT need a stock market. Even GOOGLE, being a search engine holds very high stocks. Why is this necessary?

Thanks in advance. I know it’s a very elemental question but I know nothing about economics.
