Finished 1st year of med school. Had an easy time because I’m smart, learn easily and am great at taking tests. Medicine sucks though as I’m not gaining any universal skills and am far more interested in business, mainly finance and perhaps entrepreneurship one day. I have burning ambition and great desire to become wealthy and powerful. Fun and lifestyle are unimportant to me right now; I can work like hell and study or take courses on my own to make up for my…

–lack of experience, here is the crux. I have strong academic credentials and stellar test scores but no practical experience outside of nerdy things like lab research and premed internship programs. I feel like I gleaned little from them and I hated doing them. I shouldn’t have entered medicine but fam pressured for it, now I’m thinking I may rebel and say I’ve had enough.

I would like to attend a top MBA school asap and ascend the ladder very quickly. Basically I’m just venting here–any career changers out there?

I can get a much better rate by borrowing from my retirement funds than I can get from a bank.

So my question is this: Since I don’t know the actual amount I need to borrow until negotiated price, options, taxes, etc is figured out, how do I buy a car before actually taking out the loan? It takes about 10 days to secure the low interest loan. Should I use the dealer financing option and then just pay that off with the lower interest personal loan 2 weeks later?

I hope my question isn’t as complicated as it seems. Thanks!

…good thing to do to get a good paying position at one of the banks?
Actually you would be a charterholder not a certificate holder…

Does anyone know of any companies that will finance a 1984 double wide? I need to finance 45000. I got approved with Vanderbilt Mortgage, but they will only finance homes 15 years old or newer. The lady said it was really hard to find a company that financed anything older. Can someone helP?
also the home sits on a .3 acre lot.
home is sitting on cinderblock foundation with underpinning. It has never been moved with the exception of putting it into place
the land goes with the home and will be owned, there is no rental on the lot

My wife and I are refinancing our home. It looks like it will be done in a few weeks. We hope to use money we get out of the refinance to put down on a construction loan. Do you think we should wait to do something on the construction loan until after the refinance closes? What about getting pre approved for the construction loan?
What if I just get pre-approved so that I can make an offer on a piece of land?

I have a Credit Card with 1st Financial Bank for 0. Last month my total amount I had charged was 3.85, and I paid it off it full on 2/01 and it was due on 2/03. I made one charge since then for .62 for when I filed my taxes, I had to pay a fee. I got my bill for March today, and under "Charges, Payments, and Credits" it says I have the .62 for Average1040.com, Auto Pay Fee N. Sioux City SD for .00, and Finance Charge for .16 — so now my total bill is back up to .78!! Why is this? Please help! I paid it off because I couldn’t afford it after losing my job, and now this happens!

I am planning on getting my license and was wondering if that will get in the way of it or of being hired by a real estate firm. Or if it will hinder the start of my career.

Thanks!

We found our dream house after a year of looking,it needs work but that’s not the problem. The house will not pass ( do to need of leveling , paint and other possible issues ) for an FHA or USDA loan. We want to do the work ourselves so an FHA Rehab loan is out of the question and we don’t have 20% to put down for a conventional loan. The house will be beautiful with a little work. Does anyone have any creative financing ideas or advice.
