I attend the best business and economics university in my country.
But I’m not sure what degree i’m going to choose. It’s like being a doctor, you can either be a psychiatrist or a surgeon. I have to say I like economics but i also like finance and investing, etc. There are other things like marketing. Many more. I would like to become very rich, and since i don’t have a preference, i’m going to choose the one that allows you to become as rich as hell. Is is investing, or maybe economist? Thanks for help.

The Philippine Department of Finance/Philippine Civil Service Commission traditionally hires CPA/Lawyer, wherein this Ph.D. that we have now are not necessarily intended for teaching/academe because they have majors like in the filed of accountancy, taxation, business administration, public administration, among others. The existing CSC qualification standards must be improve, attuned to the present times.

I recently moved back home to Northern NJ to pursue a job in Finance in NYC. I have a BS in Finance from a school in New Orleans. I have worked as a financial researcher and grant coordinator. I have never worked for a major corporation. I am thinking about applying to Rutgers for an MBA. My friend who works as a Sr. Financial Analyst told me to apply to Baruch CUNY. I currently work at Nordstrom’s as a sales associate. Companies I am interested in include Bloomberg, Standard & Poor’s, and Reuters.

How can I break into Finance? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
